I choose the Bristol Warsaw this time this time again. My previous stay here was around 2 years ago. Since then I've stayed at least 35 or 40 times in Warsaw. Let's see how this hotel evolved in the last two years!
There is nothing to add here. The Bristol is probably the most beautiful building of Warsaw. Not only beautiful, also very "Palace" looking. As it is surrounded by the same kind of buildings, it's really a nice area for the eyes. When the night falls, it's even more nice to look at with all those lights! Stunning.
Probably one of the best possible for tourists in Warsaw. Very close to the historical old town in one direction and to bars, restaurants and shops in the other one on the so called Royal route. There is an ATM nearby too.
Art nouveau it is. I truly like the style so the interior is really fantastic in my opinion. As mentioned by others, the elevator is gorgeous! An old fashioned touch but a up to date technology!
I was welcomed by Tatiana. I must say that I felt very warmly welcomed this time, much more than previously. She handled the check in very well and took the time to give me the best room possible knowing that I required a smoking one. That wasn't easy but she managed to give me an executive "recently renovated" one and to propose to move me to a suite the next day and left a note for their colleagues of the morning shift. She also thought about the free breakfast for platinum and made sure I got a voucher for that. As I also asked for free Wi-Fi, she told me she would provide codes. I was in the room since less than 5 minutes, Tatiana called me to know if I was happy with the room and let me know that there was a maintenance which would disable water from midnight and 5 AM. That is really what we are looking for: service and care. On top of that, she did not forget to give me the free internet codes over the phone and even asked how much devices I would need it for. So I got two codes. Congrats Tatiana. The next morning I was asking something to the front desk and Krystof was on duty. He immediately told me that they would upgrade me in an apartment in the afternoon. Which was done in the midafternoon!
The first room I got was an Executive one (634). It was smaller than the executive suite I got a couple of years ago but renovated. Still it was quite nice: a large hallway with closets, a door to the bathroom with no separate shower but very well equipped, an a door to the bedroom with a king size bed, tv and minibar, a work desk quite large with the necessary power plugs, 2 arms chairs and a table. All in, this executive room is very nice and worth the upgraded price (which I didn't pay because of my platinum status though.) The second one was a one bedroom suite (619) and it's really great. A pretty large hallway with a separate toilet, a nicely sized living room with very a comfortable sofa and two large arm chairs a very "design" table. The entire furniture is really tasty and the living room is a very nice place to stay, meet and work. The flat screen TV is huge too. A door communicates with a large bedroom with a King size bed, one more flat screen TV. Something quite important to me is the fact that the air conditioning has two separate controls: one for the living room and one for the bedroom! The Bathroom: The one of the executive room was nice. Of course looking like an old Art Nouveau one, but renovated. A toilet, a bidet, a bath and a single but large sink, no separate shower though which I miss. The bathroom of the suite was exactly the same as the one from the executive room. Still no separate shower :-( The Bed:
It made my night! Great sleep in both rooms. The Breakfast:
I know that many of the reviewers say it is perfect. I'm sorry, but if the choice is wide, the quality is not as high as other buffet I've had in Warsaw. It is quite ok but in example, most of the warm items were cold on the first day. Cold potatoes or mushrooms and sausages isn't what I would call a perfect breakfast.
Quick and efficient. No reason to complain at all. One of the best I experienced in Warsaw. House Keeping: Perfect, no reason to complain either.
During this stay it was under renovation. So I cannot comment.
No true business center here. Just two corners in the lobby with a computer and a printer. But, in the end, who really needs a business center these days?
I got a complimentary late checkout at 4PM. The check-out procedure was very fast.
I really liked:
The staff once again which is really friendly and helpful. Of course the art nouveau touch of the entire hotel, including rooms, and the situation so close to the old town.
I really disliked:
There is nothing I really disliked but some details like the cold bacon or potatoes at breakfast in example could be improved.
My conclusion: I really like the Bristol but it is still not my first choice in Warsaw. The main reasons being the size of the rooms which is smaller. But don't misunderstand me, if you look for a nice hotel, the Bristol is great. Specially that it is now close to be entirely renovated. I'm probably a little picky after so many stays in Warsaw!
Thanks for reading one more bad English review!
All the best,
