Executive Chef at Hotel Bristol in Warsaw
Carlos Teixeira, the executive chef at the luxurious Hotel Bristol, Warsaw, was born in Porto in Portugal in a family with culinary traditions. He started his professional career in hospitality business at the age of 17, having worked for such hotel brands as Sheraton, Le Meridien or the famous Ritz in Lisbon. By that time he already knew that he wants to become an executive chef and started to plan his career carefully.
His international experience includes management with some of the finest hotels and restaurants in London, Birmingham, Düsseldorf, Jeddach in Saudi Arabia or the capital of Mexico. Among his greatest achievements are 2AA Rosettes stars as well as a creation of an award winning Afternoon Tea in London. As the executive chef in Hotel Bristol in Warsaw he aims to create cuisines based on the best Polish flavours with addition of some selected Portugal products.
Privately, Carlos Teixeira is a father, always full of optimism and energy. His hobbies include adventurous summer and winter sports, such as windsurfing, skiing, as well as travelling. He says that his decision about moving to Poland was taken because of possibilities which are waiting in such legendary hotel as Hotel Bristol in Warsaw, where the culinary tradition has been continued since 1901.
